Le Dîner en Blanc - Washington DC: Thank you!
Dear Dîner en Blanc - Washington, DC Members and Friends,
On Saturday, August 27, 2016, iconic hubs around our Nation’s capital were abuzz! Family, friends, colleagues, neighbors and strangers gathered with smiling faces – picnic gear in tow – anxiously awaiting details of their final destination.
As the sun faded behind the skyline of Rosslyn, Henry Bacon Park came alive! Within minutes, 3,500 people – dressed so elegantly in white – descended upon the green space at the corner of 23rd and Constitution Avenue, at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial. French inspired jazz filled the evening air. Excitement was high. The stage was set for what was to be an unforgettable evening.
You came. You sparkled. You toasted friends and danced, all in the spirit of Le Dîner en Blanc! #DEBDC16 was truly an incredible evening! We are humbled and thankful for your tremendous efforts and that you joined us for our city’s 3rd edition.
We’ve heard through email, social media, and the Members Wall that many new friendships were created and others continued that night. To see the joy and celebration on the faces of so many people sharing such a unique experience together makes the hard work truly worth it. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm for Le Dîner en Blanc!
A very special Thank You goes out to our incredible team of volunteer leaders! The 85 Group and Table Leaders as well as onsite volunteers who help you prepare for Le Dîner en Blanc and lead you to the secret site are truly invaluable. Without them, this event would not be possible.
Relive the magic of Dîner en Blanc – Washington through our official video and through our official Facebook photo album.
À la prochaine, DC!
